This is a digest of messages posted to: Digestive Disorders.Common Digestive DisordersHave Celiac... Need ideas/helpInitial Message Posted by: Ems120 Date: Jan 23, 2010.And I'm wondering if this is normal. I've only had my diagnosis since the end of October, but I seem to be eating things with gluten almost to prove to myself that I can. The end result is I feel horrible and my symptoms get worse for a few days, then I follow my GF diet for a few days but then I repeat this cycle. Any ideas how to break this cycle? I can't seem to get my head around this is a life long life_style_.How often is too often for laxativeInitial Message Posted by: lilb1190 Date: Jan 23, 2010.I have h
ad somewhat chronic constipation for years now. I go a few weeks with it and a few weeks without it. I have never been to the doctor about it (though i know i should go), and usually need the aid of a stimulant laxative to get over it. I know they are really rough on your bowels and can weaken your bowels to the point where you are dependent on them. If i had to estimate, i probably get to the point where i need one once every 1.5 months. I will go 3 or 4 days without being able to use the bathroom (though i will feel like i need to and fart a lot) and it seems like the only way out is to take some ex-lax. My diet over the course of my life has typically consisted of an unhealthy amount of processed foods, which i have recently been steering away from. I also eat foods high in fiber and take fiber suppliments. To this point, it only seems to help a little. My question is how often do i have to take them before it really starts to hurt me? Is it
possible that it already has and thats why my problems havent gone away? There are time when i need to take them two days in a row because they didnt get the job done, but i have bever had to take them 3 days in a row. Also, i would like to use stool softeners instead because they are much easier on your body, but they dont work as well. Are there any stool softeners that are known to work better than others? Thanks!View all discussions at Digestive DisordersUse the unsubscribe form to cancel your email sub_script_ion.
