Great move Amanda! We still have no input from Brian T, and Basia. I am not fully convinced we have all our thoughts articulated yet.   Can we divide this list into two separate lists: 1) what is unique to art therapy with digital tools, and 2) what does it share with 'traditional media.' Our final statement may read something like: using digital technology in therapy, like all art media, may be therapeutic AND may have x unique added value. A challenge from (and to) Brian Tepper! Though our personal experience may support it, can we really back up a statement saying ANY media will always trump the digital material in depth and psychological impact? Won't clay 'trump' crayons in a session one day and not the next day, just as the adolescent felons I work with go deeper with 3D animation than they will with crayons!. I think our task is to tease out what is unique to the experience of using technology in a clinical session. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T - Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text -
